Elysium is shipping basis that is pure white. Niagen is brown as Nicotinamide Riboside chloride salt. So what is in basis is no longer Niagen. Pure Nicotinamide Riboside is not stable and disintegrate in the stomach.

For what it is worth, here is another exert from the note from Elysium: "While the specific Basis formulation and the amount of each ingredient have not changed, this new production process has allowed us to take an exceptional product and make it even purer. We also have eliminated color variations and can now provide a consistently white final product, as you may have seen with your most recent shipment. This reflects our ongoing commitment to being a trusted source for our customers by continually exceeding the highest standards in the industry."

I can't figure out how to link the specific posts, but a recent post by user "Jeff" in the Yahoo! Finance CDXC Conversation says:

This sentence was part of a response my sister got in regard to an inquiry she made about re-newing her subscription to Basis: "As part of that effort, we have established a new supply chain -- the first of its kind for the production of Basis."

IF you then click on 'Replies," he then elaborates a bit further down:

For what it is worth, here is another exert from the note from Elysium: "While the specific Basis formulation and the amount of each ingredient have not changed, this new production process has allowed us to take an exceptional product and make it even purer. Meanwhile, Elysium is challenging Dartmouth's NR patent (which Chromadex licenses).

Elysium subscribers should call them and ask for a refund. Nobody knows what is inside the new Basis pills.
