So I have these great memory genes but they don't seem to be active. I wouldn't rate my memory as being all that good or even better than anyone else's, but I have these. The descriptions are very simple, you should click them for more details.

rs17070145(T;T) - Greatly improved memory + 19-25%

rs1799990(A;G) - Better long term memory +17%

rs4680(A;A) - advantage in memory and attention

I should add that I most likely lost the benefit of the first one to a bully with a club (see study) when I was 13-14. I thought I had recovered fine after a couple of weeks, but had some memory decline in my Senior year in HS. I may have been taking biotin around the time, was a smoker, and took supplements periodically (when I could get them to sell them to me).

It's definitely not pointless or timewasting to pursue this... Something in my supplements is working (and I take a lot) but figuring out which one and finding a way to ensure that I cement the benefits or achieve them under optimal conditions will be important. Please understand that this is part of my identity and fixing the disfunction would improve my performance... as it it, somedays are good days and some are bad. The good are slowly becoming more than the bad as I address everything I can, but I'm sure I can probably do better with help from the forum. So what have you got?
