Hi all,

I read a lot about people looking for substances to improve sleep quality and/or time to get a sleep. Now I sleep very fast (within a few minutes) and very deep/steady. I barely ever wake up and I am hard to wake up too. However I really need somewhere to 9 hours of sleep a day to feel optimal, near to 8 hours several days in a row will already make me feel less better then getting full sleep.

I was wondering if there is anything to reduce the amount of sleep needed? Obviously I am not looking for something to get me to 4-5 hours (would be nice though if it's healthy :D ) but somewhere to 7-8 hours of sleep and feeling better would be a lot nicer.

Thanks a lot.

I think I would drown a small puppy to sleep 9 hrs a night.  How old are you?

Well, I need about 12 hours sleep and I am perfectly happy with it, I am past 55 and going stronger than ever.

Going to bump this. I see a lot of topics on how to get a sleep better, or what supplements to take to stay a sleep but barely anything to increase sleep quality (to need less sleep).

Modafinil, but you would have to wake up and take it.

MK 677

Isn't this a SARM? Could you elaborate for me on how it affects sleep? Do you have experience using it?

No, MK677 isn't a Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator, it is an oral HGH secretagogue.

It may help since HGH induces deeper sleep which might lead to a need for less of it.

It might work if your HGH is somehow lower than normal, because of age for example, since it is unlikely that a secretagogue will be able to rise levels above normal physiological ones.

My personal experience with it is a bit controversial in that regard, I am able to sleep less without compromising restoration if I have to but to sleep a lot too.

Usually everybody reports deeper and more restoring sleep.

There is a dedicated tread on MK677 in the "supplements" section of the forum, check it out.

It comes with its own issues and is powerful stuff, investigate carefully before taking any decisions about if it might suit you or not

Mine is more an academic consideration than an intervention suggestion, therefore take it for what it is.
