Proponents of Obamacare should take note. The Greek government apparently intended to provide medical care for its people but we all know what happened there. According to a recent article in The Intelligent Optimist ("Doctors Without Orders") Greek hospitals treat you for free as long as you don't occupy a bed. If you do, they charge you. If you can't pay, the Greek tax office can put a lien on your house.
How is this different pre-obamacare? If you don't pay your medical bills in the past, whoever can go after everything; savings, retirement, your house, it's not different. The problem with Obamacare is how it came to fruition. Let's take a broke ass system and duct tape with government money.
