Pray

Went someplace special to pray. A person who was associated with that place has been honored internationally. It's the equivalent of a small town football team winning the Superbowl. There was a new statue there to honor this person, adorned with flowers. The energy was different. There was a sense of ease after a prolonged effort. There was more light. The main difference was the number of people. Normally there are only a few when I go there. This time there were people coming and going. Some looked like they'd never been there before. It was hard to find privacy. It felt like people were celebrating their high school football team getting to the championships, only instead of cheering they were praying. I wonder what they were doing this time last week?
