Oh boy.
Adults shouldn't have brown fat, you lose it when you're still a baby.
We already can mimic the effects of brown fat, it's a molecule called DNP. Basically, it turns off the energy storage part of the mitochondria, so that the fat burns without giving off usable energy. It kinda like taking the pistons out of a car. The fuel still burns (and hotly), but no work is being done.
And, these days, we're confirming over and over (thanks to bodybuilders) that it's quite a poison.
