Michael Lustgarten recently posted this video and it has some great info in it. Now up to now I always thought apigenin was the most potent CD38 inhibitor. But he has data in this video which shows luteolin, luteolindin, and kuromanin (better known as Cyanidin) are all actually much more potent in this regard. Watch from about 1 minute on

 

 

If we go to phenol explorere we find that the food highest in cyanidin is black elderberry, and I mean it has literally hundreds of time more of it than almost all other foods.

This would indicate elderberry is an extremely strong CD38 inhibitor, MUCH stronger than say strawberries which contain a much much lower amount of apigenin.

As for apigenin, the best food source by far and away is chamomile coming in at 5,000 mg/100 grams 

 

No other food even comes close

Apigenin is insolluble in water, so chamomille tea is a terrible source for apigenin since none of it is getting into the water. 

 

I can't find any info on whether it is fat/lipid soluble however. It is soluble in alcohol however. So maybe a strong alcoholic chamomile tincture might be a good source of apigenin.

Right now there is not a single apigenin product available on amazon or anywhere else that I can see. 

 

If someone sees one, please link it.

However, as the former posts also points out, it is too easy to get 45mg of Apigenin by ingesting 1g of dried Parsley only.

That Swanson product is out of stock, just like everywhere else. I am alergic to parsely, so I guess chamomile is my best bet

I have been taking 500 mg a day for about a month.  The only thing that I think I can say is that it appeared to elevate my BP enough to give me headaches.
