I will not quit drinking tea. Is there any real evidence that tea is dangerous? Never heard that tea drinking would be a negative health problem, just positive.

Everything might be harmful if it also helps drive natural transformations.
Do we breath oxygen because its good for us or because it's good for evolution?

STOP THIS NONSENSE
we have already established that:
#1) the type of fluoride in green tea is different than the type they poison animals with for those tests
#2) the health benefits of the catechins outweight any risk
#3) the majority of people, including most of the people here, do no consume enough to raise fluoride levels to any dangerously significant levels

I think we should eat chocolate.
A well-researched and fair statement I agree!

This chart below taken from the website is clearly ridiculous. Nearly all chinese and japanese women would have crippling deformaties at age 50. The majority of Japanese and Chinese women weigh on the order of 100 pounds and consume green tea all day (4+ cups).
Person weighing 100 lbs.
Time Frame
Symptoms
Phase 1
within 5 years
sporadic pain; stiffness in joints; osteosclerosis of pelvis and vertebral column
Phase 2
after 10 years
chronic joint pain; arthritic symptoms; slight calcification of ligaments; increased osteoclerosis/cancellous bones; with/without osteoporosis of long bones)
Phase 3
(crippling fluorosis)
after 23 years
limitation of joint movement; calcification of ligaments/neck, vert. Column; crippling deformities/spine major joints; muscle wasting;neurological defects/compression of spinal chord

I spend so much time trying to convince people that green tea is good for you.
- It's sad... I know one of them is going to find this article
I'm drinking a big glass of chilled poison right now!

Everything we eat, drink, or breath has some poison in it. The question is whether it's overall good for you or not. Another question is whether something else is even more good for you (less contaminants) and you should switch to that. The health benefits of green tea have been established beyond reasonable doubt. Quack scare sites do not impress me.
