Does anyone have a clue? An undergraduate student told me nanobot will be possible in 50 years, MNT said molecular manufacturing can be done in less than ten years!~
Do anyone have any clues??

When is the first nanobots or molecular assemble?

Chris Phoenix seems to know his stuff, and he says it's feasible within a decade: http://betterhumans....ID=2004-04-19-1
Note that this does not make the undergraduate student's statement any less true, since 10 < 50.
Furthermore, if you extrapolate the current minitiarization trends, molecular manufacturing 'should be here' not too many years from now.

I don't know when nanobots will start being developed, but The Centre for Responsible Nanotechnology predicts A Nanofactory will be ready about 2015

The year 2015 is in sync with the 10 years estimate by the man behind CRN: Chris Phoenix.
