For a very long time I have had the issue of becoming mentally fatigued late in the day. It didn't seem to matter how many stimulants I used, what I ate, anything. The best way I can really describe it is my mind and thought process feeling sleepy and sluggish, while I had no issue at all with physical tasks. Stimulants would pull me out of it, but it would be very short-lived.
Lately it seems to have gone away. I've started using multiple nootropics. Piracetam, low dose phenylethylamine, sulbutiamine, choline, and ashwagandha.
I also used to have a problem of waking up in the morning and feeling absolutely brain dead. I think that might have been related to excessive stimulant use interrupting my sleep patterns. Since using deprenyl my need for stimulants has dissipated so I sleep much better.
Any ideas on this one? Blood sugar? My diet is pretty good though, very limited simple carbs.
What can cause severe mental fatigue late in the day?
