Hi,
Seroquel worked well for me but left me very tired, is there an alternative to Seroquel that offers a similar method of action but is far less sedating?

What do you take it for? The sedation comes from its antihistamine effect.

Bipolar disorder, I sleep literally all day on it but it was great for calming me and my decision making was so much better on it.

Similar to seroquel:
abilify, ---> antipsychotic, has lower 'tiredness' than other antipsychotics
resperidone --> other option (I'd put abilify better for tiredness)
olanzapine --> tiredness, weight gain (you might not experience tiredness because its a different med)

You have a whole host of anticonvulsants with a completely different side effect profile as well that you can try.
lamotrigine : is the one I would mention with fairly low side effects but it is better suited in cases of bipolar II. Though if you are not experiencing active mania it could be a good choice as well

Thanks for the response, I had an allergic reaction to lamotrigine, ablify has been mentioned to me before, I will consider that. Would Latuda be a good choice also?

Avoid aps, they are very neurotix and can cause a possibly permanent movement disorder, they also blunt your personality.
Try mood stabilisers.

Usually the sedation of antihistaminic should dissapear after ~3 weeks.
Mitrazepine has many similairities with Seroquel but is more sedative.
