These by biogenesis are pretty good.
I have no experience with the company in the link, just biogenesis protein bars. Dunno if you can get them cheaper. You can try froogle.
FYI: non-dairy protein bar

from the ingridients they look to have a lot frucose in them(50% out of carb contents at least, I would guess). there is a missconception in the diabetic society that fructose is good for them (or us) because of its low GI. however, its chronic effects on the liver and consequently the body are far from ideal. so I would not binge on these bars, one once a day is fine, more than that if you are thin. I wish there was a glucose based carb (like oatmeal, yam, chick peas) based bar somewhere. chick peas are glucose based and have the lowest GI of all carbs I believe. supplement them with some amino acids to make it a complete protein and you got a superfood. (that tastes like crap :-))

Liorrh,
FruiTrim® (rice syrup, grape juice), Rice Protein, Peanut Butter, Rice X, Crispy Brown Rice, Chocolate Chips (unsweetened chocolate, coco butter, lecithin, pure vanilla), Chocolate Liquor, Pure Vanilla, Sea Salt, Calcium Citrate, Magnesium Citrate, Ascorbic Acid, D-Calcium Pantothenate, D-Alpha Tocopheryl Succinate, Manganese L-Aspartate, Niacinamide, Zinc Citrate, Biotin, Pyridoxine HCl, Inositol Hexanicotinate, Riboflavin, Vitamin B12, L-Selenomethionine, Folic Acid, Vitamin D3, Vitamin A Acetate, Chromium Nicotinate, Vanadyl Sulfate
Are you saying fructose because of the rice syrup and grape juice?
Another good bar is here:

This one also uses rice protein but does not use fructose

I looked at the ingresients of the berry one, seemed to have more low GI fruit (berry, apple etc) which has more fructose.
that "FruiTrim" looks interesting as grapes and rice are glucose based. wonder if its low GI somehow. if not kinda defeats the "gluco-control" aspect
no I don't like Humus. Yupp, Im from the middle east and I hate it. I like the peas themselves inside dishes though, fish, meat and veggie dishes, as well as eating them raw(they are like nuts). but commercial humus sucks. I'm willing to eat
only very good home made humus (which has olive oil and all kind of goodies in it) with fresh Pita
