Is it supposed to taste fishy? I just switched to the powdered form and it was nasty, I felt like I was auditioning for Fear Factor. I am still waiting for Jarrow to reply.
Thanks.

I had the same expectation, and was not prepared for the stinky fish smell and after taste.

I do not mind if it really has this kind of taste. I was using Source Naturals in capsules prior to this. Both are Yaeyama's.

I am simply puzzled because it is the opposite of what I have read on some online fora, and chlorella advertising sites, claiming the product to have a rather fresh green grass / vegetable taste.

I have kinda gotten used to the taste already. I guess I don't give a damn anymore. It could smell like a dead rat for all i care, so long as i get the benefits (and provided smelling it or the stinkiness per se brings no harm).

Recipes later...

My very own plain recipe is to cap Chlorella. A "00" cap holds about 516 mg. 10 caps in the evening provide 5 grams for me. [thumb]

I use the NOW brand. The taste isn't too bad. A little fishy, a little salty. Over the years I got used to all kinds of bad tasting powders, so the taste of Chlorella doesn't bother me much.

I use NOW too, same as above

I add some hot water to it, with some wheat grass and barley grass. Great stuff!

just to ask those of this thread who mention a hideous taste...is chlorella, the benefits seen from ingesting it, worth it? Why?
