Sure, but I was speaking generally, and really, I just wanted to make a reference to Monty Python---Dead Parrot Sketch. The forum has its peaks and troughs, and even if the level of traffic has dropped a bit, I'm certain that things will pick up at some point.

I'm sorry to hear that, since I've experienced my fair share of dog deaths. But you know, when you bring a dog into the family, a tragedy is inevitable. In the end, though, I think its worth the grief. When this one passes away, there will be plenty of candidates at the dog shelters. And although you may have lost a precious life, you'll at least be able to take the opportunity ...

Okay, I had a fun time yesterday, but in the future, I would prefer to celebrate a Valentine's Day equivalent on the date of my choosing. Because for procrastinators, it would make the arrangements less of a nightmare.

You know, I'm expected to have something exceptionally romantic planned for tonight, but I have nothing. So I'm going to have to scramble to throw something together. I'm thinking about dinner at 801 Chop House in Des Moines, an expensive bottle of wine, and a suite at the Downtown Marriott.
