Seriously, has anyone here really divulged anything that might be truly professionally or personally compromising? In the worst case scenario, Medieval might show up before your door, demanding shelter from authorities.

For obscure reasons, I've become quite attracted to Gillian Tett at the Financial Times.

Do you think they are that obscure? I just checked her out, she's pretty hot bro.

Yeah, but she's not exceptionally hot, and for the most part, the content of her columns irritate me.

Ha ha, so you are attracted to women that get under your skin. Maybe it's the way she carries herself and speaks. For a columnist she is pretty hot IMO.

Ahh! I have so much to do this weekend! I'll be fine, though, because I never fail to power through.

I like the stolen pictures on your profile pages. And Stanford University, class of 1968, huh?

Quite the impressive mind for your age. Usually I'm quite reluctant to offer praise, but I would say that you have a very promising future. So cheers!

I just found out that my biggest celebrity crush, Sarah Polley, is no longer married! How could I have possibly missed this news? Well, because she's the epitome of the anti-celebrity, and extremely protective of her personal life. But what's more, she lives in Toronto, and much of my mother's family lives in Toronto. So there is a very slim chance that I could become Mr. Sarah Polley---the very thought makes me swoon.. However, I do have a girlfriend that I'm committe...

The way you formulated that sentence makes it an easy choice rather than a dilemma ;)
Although considering your penchant for hedonistic vices I think you're already lamenting the aftermath of the obvious choice. Go for it :)

It's a dilemma in the sense that one has to decide whether or not weaker forms of pleasure are worth the inevitable consequences. And since I obviously chose to succumb to temptation, it's more of a dilemma for next year, and a cautionary message to others.

It occurred to me that the power of this scene might be greatly diminished if watched out of the context of the intensity of the conflict during "The Troubles,"and the unconscionable conditions of the Maze Prison that were exhibited in the film. Although my intentions may easily be misinterpreted, the posting of this link was not meant as a tribalistic expression of support for Irish Republicanism, or even the hunger strikers, but rather, as an example of how societal conditions shap...

"Those minutes are an aide-memoire for us. They should not be a reductive record of what happened to have been said, but they should be more a full record of what was intended to have been said. I think that's the more accurate version, don't you?" Linton Barwick, Assistant Secretary of State for Policy Planning, from "In the Loop," discussing the minutes for a State Department-British Foreign Office deliberation over the situation with Iraq.

"We have all the facts we need. We don't need anymore facts. In the land of truth my friend, the man with one fact is king." Linton Barwick, Deputy Secretary of State for Policy Planning, from "In the Loop," affirming his support for the initiation of hostilities against Iraq during deliberations.
