The research does show NMNH and NRH to be much more bioavailable, but I'm not sure that makes them "better".

They both turn in to NADH.

Researchers agree that it is the NAD+ to NADH ratio that improves health, not the total NAD available.

Supplementation goal is to increase NAD+, not NADH.

So to me, it seems increasing NADH is not beneficial and could even be counterproductive.

I agree that liposomal delivery does make sense.

NRH and NMNH do increase NAD+. NAD+/NADH ratio also increases. https://pubmed.ncbi....h.gov/30948509/

But NRH is pro inflammatory in another study. So be careful using it

anyone done any lab test on the purity of nmn that they purchased? I dont want to buy nmn that is not pure or mixed with something else, that not only do not help to improve my body, but making more damages due to this impurity.

can recommend good brand that is pure nmn? thanks

The last batch of NMN that I bought for our group came back at 99.9% pure.  For the past 5 years all of our NMN has come in at 99.+%. We use Micro Quality Labs in Burbank for all of our testing.

The pro inflammatory qualities are for NRH only or for NMNH as well?

Only NRH was in the study.

Hi, does anyone know why the following happens, what could be the underlying mechanism:

- when I take NMN, about 300mg, I get totally depleted off ATP (apparently that is a good thing for longevity, as it means higher AMPK).  I now take about 70-80mg daily, as that makes me feel slow (chilled out), but it does not knock me down.  I do feel good with NMN as I don't feel bloated.  Good effect: I become chiseled and I dont have to workout and keep my weight (which I like).  Bad effect: I "think" it ages me fast, increases hair greying, and if I workout, these negative effects increase.  So I find it optimal to take low dose NMN and dont workout.

- when I take D-Ribose 500mg, I become energetic like a rocket, literally like a flying panther. People think I am the most athletic person they have ever seen (and I am a nerd that has seldom played sports).  Draw back: I gain weight despite working out.   So here drawback is I got to workout after taking D-Ribose.  Hair greying effect: I am not sure, I suspect it benefits (not sure)

- when I take Carnitine-Tartrate: I get a similar effect to D-Ribose of increased energy.  I loose weight, though I seem to quickly burn my facial fat (which I dont like to).  Hair greying effect: I am not sure.

Hard to say what exactly causes your discomfort but a very real possibility is that you have been taking one the many scam NMN capsules in the market.....

By definition, NMN is supposed to "deplete" energy (which is healthy, it signals AMPK activation) so the energy effect is as it "should be".  Note: Turnbuckle comments.  NMN is NOT supposed to give you lots of energy contrary to the misleading vids (and then narrated over and over like a parrot by naive consumers).

But it DOES give you energy, so much you can't sleep at first.

Just google

nmn insomnia site:reddit.com

tons of anectdotal experiences all the same; insomnia after starting NMN.
