Thanks for posting pictures! Most people who claim great improvement in their health and looks don't provide much proof/evidence to back up their claims..

You are welcome! Oh I have thousands of photos. I am soooo very proud! This body shot was in Sept 2018, I have improved somewhat since then. Remember, I am 55.

I just started spraying homemade 10% niacinamide on my whole body. I want to see what happens. Although there is only one spot with any sun damage left on my body. My upper back which is a hard to reach spot. Thus the spray. But there is hardly any left there, so it should be a breeze.

Ok I went and did it, I am really camera shy with my face. New Avatar picture from Dec 29, 2018. Age 55 no filters or photoshop. No work done to my face or body EVER. 100% natural.

Body shot is 3 months prior to face shot. See the difference in the hair fullness? It has been getting thicker every month.

Without wanting to lessen anything about Katrina's sun-damage reversal, the real proof would also need 'before' pictures.

Now I would be the perfect sample, never having used sun-protection my whole adult life, additionally staying on a South-Indian beach each winter during the last 7 years. In total almost 1 year in that time period. Sunbathing 2 hours twice each day, beside whatever the less sunny central European summer would allow. Now almost age 52.

Only my after pictures would still take some time...

I will have to go back and read through this thread, because my skin has a lot of sun damage from years of farming and outdoor activities.

Well I have one before (more of a midway) of my décolleté but no one is seeing it. I have body dysmorphic disorder, and seeing any picture here or anywhere is a miracle. A year ago today I was taking many dozens and deleting them all. And that was a milestone. So you will all have to trust me. My improvements in every aspect and not just on my skin are 100% amazing. You all will never know what I won’t admit to out of shame. Because if I did, you would all be on my entire supplement regimen too. I would also likely be in the news.

There are 3 of us now that are getting “flipped” with my regimen and each in various stages. The second has not followed it to a T and has gone off the main items for over a month and went back on those less than a week ago. Same with the lessor supplements also. He also started a very small partial list of my skincare months ago. He is a cheapskate.. So not a good example.

The third is the pudding in the cake. And if he gives his permission, we will have official before and after pictures. He is just 2 months in and this takes 6 months for drastic changes and a year for near completion. (Will we ever be done? Lol...) This regimen also requires the gym and calorie deprivation. And at times I have used red light therapy on my entire body too.

Sure I most certainly lightened my skin. But this is NOT the real news here.

And the skin lightening 100% did not all come from skincare. Because it started BEFORE the B3 skincare products. And happened where I did not use it. It was likely half suppluments and 1/2 B3 skincare in my sun exposed spots. And for all I know maybe the B3 has done nothing. Maybe I an seeing the gradual affects of the suppluments. What fixed what is pure conjecture. Just like I assumed what fixed my hair issue. Trust me I used to cry over my hair, and not anymore. Look at that mane!

The Maac10 transresveritrol was a biggie in my opinion.

I just have a hard time grasping what 'sun-damage reversal' could really be, in someone like you who always protected yourself from the sun?

Sure I most certainly lightened my skin.

Therefore lets try to get some definitions clear:

After 2 months in the Indian sun I'm as badly tanned as some Solar-studio junkie. But after 1 month back home I'm as pale as cheese again.

Therefore, I suspect you skin-darkness lightening related to something completele else, than sun-damage. Otherwise I would have experienced such darkening by now too. And much more so.

The only other effect you mentioned is disappearance of wrinkles. Also mentioning the most sun-damaged area being on your back. In my case - with skin-darkness never having been an issue - the most wrinkled area of my body is clearly the back of my hands, followed by my neck and forehead. Not that much on my back.

Therefore I suspect the skin-damage reversed by you related to other things, but not the sun.

Any other skin-effects not yet mentioned?

Katrina, I've enjoyed your thread; thanks for posting.

I have pretty good skin for someone my age, I think (just turned 60). A few light wrinkles, most noticeable around my eyes when I smile. I also have a chronic, though relatively mild, case of seborrhea on my forehead, along with typical male pattern baldness. Even so, on at least four or five occasions, people sitting next to me have underestimated my age by 25 years.

I've never used any skin creams, and haven't spent much time in the sun -- except my lower arms and legs, mostly just over the last year or so (during my 30 min/day walks outside). UV is harsh in New Zealand, so I always wear a hat.

Just recently, I've become interested in the idea of adopting a skin care regimen of some kind, particularly for my face and arms. I've noticed some dryness, spots on the top of my hands, and "texture" that I don't care for -- seems like normal aging stuff.

The idea of skin care is totally new to me, though, so any tips or advice would be appreciated!

I AM NOT CONFUSING A TAN WITH SUN DAMAGE. Argh... Do you think I am an idiot? If your skin goes back to pale in a reasonable time, its not damaged. Ya think maybe persistence for nearly 25 years suffices?

I was a sun bunny for decades. My skin will turn nearly black with enough sun. I had massive decades long sun damage that would not go away. Décolleté alone ... Reddened skin with hundreds of dark spots. At least 100 raised spots of thickened skin. One particular dark spot was the size of a half dollar. I got rid of that one spot some time ago with topical resveritrol. This was no minor sun damage. My upper shoulders and back were a bumpy brown spotted mess. Major....  All this damage had been around since I stopped sunning at early 30’s. 25 years later, it is NOW SUDDENLY 90% improved after my regimen. After living with it all that time. Nothing would help it.

The shoulders is the only spot with noticeable damage left. They NEVER got any kind of skin care there. But guess what? In last year, and only after the new regimen, the raised brown spots are 95% gone. The freckling has decreased enough to not look unsightly. Just mild... Just started spraying it with B3, its first skincare.

I had sun damage all over.... And it was pathologically textbook bad.

Think a body dysmorphic wants to describe this? I am embarrased as fuch.  Thank you for stressing me out.

Here, lets show you the remains of my shoulder sun damage. Want to see remarkable? See all those barely perceptible freckle like  spots? They used to be much darker than that sole dark spot in the pic. I don’t even see any raised spots anymore. You are basically witnessing sun damage disappearing.

What this tells me is it was the supplements that did most of this. The NIA24 likely just finished the job.

Thanks for the further clarifications. And sorry if that was really stressing you out. Obviously it's me who seems the idiot. Because despite never using sun-protection, I obviously havent't experienced any even close as serious as yours.

So it comes down to individual vulnerabilty. Though one remarkable issue in my case is, that since I started to supplement comprehensively 10 years ago due serious health proplems, I never got even once a sunburn since, which before I did.

Have an interesting update. My husband was taking the main parts of my regimen and his copd lung function improved dramatically.  Couldn’t even tell he had it anymore.I blamed it on losing weight.  Well he got a cold and it was downhill from there. Getting horribly winded and lung function testing is a mess.

i asked, when did you stop my regimen (cheapskate)? He said when he got sick in January.

So, I am forcing him to start it again. I said if this is what may have helped, isn’t it worth trying to see? So we have a great experiment here. Will his lung function improve again? I hope it does. We have a baseline lung function just days prior to restarting.

1 Mac10 Transresveritrol

2 Tru Niagens

1 longvida cucurmin

1 Pterostilbene (150)

PS I got him off 3 diabetes drugs with my all over exercise, diet and supplement regimen before he stopped it.

Have you ever tried Skinmedica TNS Recovery treatment?  If so, can you compare it to NIA24?  The NIA24 sounds like it works faster and delivers better results.

Hi Katrina,

Is the below the regime your husband is doing for his COPD? Anything you can share about previous improvements in lung function tests (FEV1, FVC, etc) in following the regime? I will be very interested to see how he does on his next lung function test.

For me, NAC (1,800 mg per day, divided into 3 doses of 600mg each) is the only supplement that has improved my breathing and it appears to have also boosted my immune system. Thanks

Based on your recommendation, I got some NIA24.  It seems to be working after only a few days.  Thanks.  Did you say you include an exercise routine in your rejuvenating protocol?  BTW - Also sent you a message in reference to your earlier post on this thread.

Forgot about it. Admitedly, I got a bit fanatical about paleo interventions. This is my solar panel after 200 hrs/50 days in the South Indian sun this March:

And for comparison just now after 130hrs/150 days in the central European sun.
