Hi, im 23 years old male and 2 years ago i got a red lump on my hard palate, the professor( a referent in oral cancer ) i saw told me it doesnt seem suspicious but did a biopsy
the biopsy result : mild to moderate atypia , its difficult to assert a regenrative lesion or a dysplasia
so its an inconclusive biopsy,didnt know it was even possible !
its a student in oncology who gave me the result, she didnt reply to my question at all,, when i asked her " is it a dysplasia" she replied " no its not cancer if you got cancer we will know what to do " , his reply was almost off topic, i felt she was hiding something to me ! i clearly asked about dysplasa and not cancer !
btw 2 days later the lesion reoccur but without the red lump : i got it removed and it showed nothing suspicious
now every year i must see my ent (another ent) to check my mouth, i saw him yesterday, despite the fact my mouth showed nothing wrong, it remind me this painful event
I really feel in great danger,because i never heard of palatal cancer in young,it usually affect eldery ! i dont even know if it was a true dysplasia
I tried to contact the professor but he doesnt really have the time , its normal he must take care of patient who really have cancer
also it seem there is no KNOWN gene linked to palate cancer or dysplasia
anyway i will take a genetic test who review more than 30 gene linked cancer
for now i'm looking for any test to determine if my body correctly repair damaged dna , i just found scientific kit that i can buy but cannot proprely use
im looking for any test : direct or indirect !

Also i forgot to mention my risk factor :
- extremly poor oral hygiene, i got 15 teeth removed uneder general anesthesia because they were in terrible shape , i got many x ray in my childhood , i keep getting x ray to check my teeth ! i get a lot of dental work and have a lot of mercury
- i didnt treat a tooth abcess for years, yes it was a stupid decision and it could have costed me my life,this abcess was in my front teeth
- i got a chronic infection in a tooth very close to the site where the lesion occur
- i have chronic gerd
- chronic dry mouth
- my mother died of breast cancer at 65 years old ,discovered at 45 years old
important note: the lesion was discovered by chance ! it may have been present for years !
