What I am attempting to do is find out if there is a difference.  Some of you might know about Wobenzym.  It is created by one company, Mucos, in Germany, and marketed here by two companies, Garden of Life, and Douglas Labs.  Some people say they are different, some people say they are the same.  Garden of Life sells 800 pills for about $139.  Douglas Labs sells 800 pills for about $229.  Apparently this is not the same!

The ingredients are EXACTLY the same.  Let's take a look.  Here is Garden of Life:

Here is Douglas Labs:

Based on what I have been told, Douglas Labs is the German formula, and Garden of Life is not.  But the ingredients are the same.

This herbalist online told me that Douglas Labs gets their Wobenzym from Germany where the treatment of animals is better, and the pancreatin(?) which comes from pig pancreas(?) is higher quality.  This person said he has seen better results with Douglas Labs.

Some people online say there is no difference.

When I emailed Garden of Lif they and asked they said it's the same.

When I emailed Douglas Labs they didn't reply.

Because I want to be inclusive, there is another product, Synergy is a company that makes Flavenzym.  It has the same enzymes with one exception which I will describe here:

With looking, you can see they have 120mcg of papain instead of 180mg.  However, someone at vitacost told me that potency is measured in FIP, not mg, so providing 492 FIP of papain with 120mcg is the same as using 492 FIP units with 180mg.  I don't know is this is true but that's what he said.  So they use an extract equaling 150,000% more powerful.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between Douglas Labs and Garden of Life Wobenzym?
