For the vast Majority of the past decade I  have been using Burnout SPF 30 mineral sunscreen. Why? Least damaging to skin and stays there on the surface of the skin without needing to constantly re-apply unless you get wet.

Now I tried Heliocare SPF90 and SPF 50 in the past couple years on and off and I seem to have a slight, albeit, annoying reaction from what ever chemical they're using.

And therefor I am always looking for" "the "next best thing" in terms of 1-Physical sunscreen 2-Not causing damage 3-Havving high degree of protection and 4-Not looking like you're wearing a sunscreen too much.

So, what are you currently using that meets these requirements?

Anybody?

Though I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear from just anybody like me.. ;-)

Since I started to supplement comprehensively and made life-style changes against a walking-disabilty from PAD 13 years ago (mainly Linus Pauling therapy & TrackYourPlaque program) a chronic brochitis and COPD (tropical sun and sea, along with Ayurvedics), and remaining post-exertional malaise (getting rid of my only root-canal, LDN, Mg-sulfate IVs) - all in remission now - I never got sun-burned again.

Even though I flew the last 8 years (except this) always in the deepest winter with the most palest skin to a South-Indian beach - with about 4 hours in swim-suit in the sun from the first day - I never burned. Must be all the internal anti-oxidants I take, because before supplementing I sun-burned without suncream too.

I take Astaxanthin, Lutein, sometimes Lycopene also and Zeaxanthin.

I am still a firm believer in giving yourself every bit of extra help you can get and based on experience Physical sunscreens are the least irritating and grant the greatest long term results, in addition to all the internal supplements and micronutrients which may contribute to protecting from the inside-out.

I do the Linus Pauling protocol also, but for preventive reasons. 5 Grams of C, 5 grams of Lysine but I also add 5 grams of Taurine to the mix. And I tend to do it 4-5 days a week.
