"was" being the important word in the above sentence, which is more than I can say for your mother's current state.

This guy is hilarious as he sings in this very well-done video about his love for Zach Braff.
With YouTube and other similar websites we can now see the fans of celebrities show their affection in the mass media to their heart's content. And some of these fans will go on to become celebrities themselves. Where will it all end? lol

Dang, they really moved like white people. hee But still it was very entertaining (though Weird Al Yankovic is still the master with "Like a Surgeon").
I thought the best moment was from 2:55-3:03 into the video.

This is a whole episode of Nova (although you only have to watch the first couple minutes to see most of the neat parts). This is one of the strangest animals I have ever seen; It can change its color and shape to almost anything it wants. (even making dancing patterns to hypnotize its prey) It is like an alien life form of some kind. Really, really strange and yet interesting:

I watched the whole thing. I have always been fascinated with Octopuses/i.
As well as the opening section being fun to watch, it is definitely worth skipping to 23 minutes and watching the next 5 min or so to see the Mass mating displays. it is also cool that cuttle fish are demonstrating that intelligence wins out in the mating war over size and strength

Yeah, I watched the whole thing when I posted it. It really amazed me what all those cuttle fish could do. Interesting little guys..

That's fascinating. That's a pre-condition I never thought of. Unless some unknown ancient civilisation constructed something similar that was / is able to connect. But probably "travel" is limited to the one and only instance of this single machine.

As the video (briefly) mentions (and is discussed more in the full video, which I can't seem to find a link to at the moment), if the guy is right about twisting space/time, then black holes would also be able to accomplish the same thing as the laser setup he has going. (although not as efficiently) Black holes have been around for a really long time, so if you could travel to one (in the future of course), then that might be a vehicle for time travel as well. (assuming the theory is correct of course)

Clearly the black hole option isn't possible though, because if it was we'd have visitors from the future regularly visiting us.

The lack of a conveniently located black hole in close proximity to the Earth may discourage visitors. Even at the speed of light, it would take 26,000 years to get here from the nearest black hole in Sagittarius A*.

This is from a minor league baseball game that was played just a couple nights ago. The manager goes ballistic after a (perceived) bad call, rips up bases, covers home plate in dirt, etc:
I think he was actually taking some of his stuff from a blowup last season that I saw replayed on Sportscenter, with this minor league manager:
Funny stuff. I love how stuff like this and bench clearing brawls and getting hit with pitches in retaliation can happen in baseball.
