I think every country needs to take a slice out of the Japanese game show cake. the game shows over here in Australia are freaking ridiculous. Most are just advertising vehicles and spend more time placing you in suspense before the commercial break.

That Sally chick knows the deal. If you can't get with an Austrlian guy in a rock band then there's always a New Zealaner. I can definiately relate to the bits with the over enthusiatic fan, Mel.

Anyhow......good stuff as usual Shepard.

Ping pong gun that shoots fast:

Made in kind of the same way a spud gun is made (if anyone has ever made one of those) only on a smaller scale.

I also got a kick out of those *manager melt down* clips. For some reason I find grown men acting like children thoroughly amusing.

And now for some useless trivia...the Nolan Ryan head lock/smack down of Robin Ventura was added as part of the introductory video at Ryan's induction into the hall of fame.

This video isn't particularly funny unless you're a sadist, but it is probably one of the most bizarre things to ever occur in baseball.

Randy Johnson hits bird with 95MPH fastball

Notice the total state of confusion at home plate - the catcher quickly backs away. He's not exactly sure what's happened, but he's not taking any chances.

Lol, that is a classic Randy Johnson clip, Don.

Since we are on a baseball theme, here is one of a Japanese pitcher who beans a big guy batting:

...which makes me want to see some actual baseball fights, which leads to the top 10 baseball fights of all time:

Edit: I just realized this was the same clip as Don posted in a post a couple up from this one. Sorry for the repost.

A minor league manager going crazy after a bad call (just happened not too long ago this season):

Which was an expansion of some of the stuff this minor league manager did a couple seasons ago

If you do a search on YouTube for "Lou Pinella" (the manager of the major league Cubs), you can find several of him melting down, but not as much as the above guys.

I found this version of the prairie dog clip was funny, though the original cut cracks me up as well.

heh. The ever-so-self-righteous O'Reilly Factor didn't agree.

O'Reilly Factor: Comedy or Tragedy - Did Will Ferrell's profane comedy bit hurt a little girl?

I swear, one of these days they're going to find a few dozen mutilated bodies in this guy's basement. [sfty]
