Just don't overdo it, or you might wake up the next morning and find yourself married to Britney Spears.

I hear she's not so nasty anymore. Although, nothing can remove the tarnish of that horrible rap song.

It's that rebound stage, man! Happens to the best of us...you may want to think about it too (as pondered earlier) :)

I also agree with elrond and teh zoo, "staying friends" after some relationships is never possible. I've got an ex that I simply cannot talk to anymore, she is fairly crazy and has caused problems with my gf, going out of her way to contact her and upset her, posts shit online...yeah. Trying to be friends with her only gave her false hope of a new relationship and that made me ANGRY. lol

So yeah....don't worry about the friends thing right now. If its supposed to happen, it will, but later down the line.

Zoo,

The problem is that I had a lot of intimacy problems with her and previous relationships too.

We were physical but the relationship lacked real loving felings from me. I didn't kis her, hold her, hug her, cuddle with her. I need to get over these problems. I was scared to do these things.

My main problem is the thoughts in my head. I have so much regret and I keep looping thoughts and phrases in my mind. These bring me down. I need a way to replace these thoughts or a way to channel the negative energy elsewhere.

I appreciate everyones help and suggestions. It has been a great help so far.

a quick update.....

I started on celexa about 5 days ago. I am a very anxious person so this is a combo anti-anxiety and depression medication for me. I notice feelings of more or heightened anxiety but was told this was common and that it should pass as my body gets used to the medication.

I must say the mornings are very hard for me. I am having a hrd time sleeping. I wake at 4:30 ish and try to get back to bed but feel very anxious and restless.

Maybe your Dr. can give you a perscription for xanax until you get used to the medicine. This might take the edge off. Xanax is not habit forming for a short period of time. Feel better.

Thanks for all the info regarding getting testing done on chicks. Personally I would rather die with a hard on. As far as the sales pitch Kottke I dont really have a sales pitch per se. Im just a natural pro at the game. I dont do anything and have to beat the woman off with a stick.

yesterday I did something stupid......

everyday has been so painful to me and the days are starting to take a toll on me. I wanted to numb myself so that I could just not think of her so I took 5 vic and 2 valium. I didn't think that it would kill me but I did know that it would make me a zombie for a long time.

I basicly spent the whole day in a trance and sleeping.

I am awake now and healthy but I still feel the pain and anxiety.

I need to stop feeling this ASAP

It may time to go to a psychologist. There is no shame in this, it's just a stepping stone to help you to start feeling better. This is something positive you need to do to help you feel more positive about the future ;)

The other option is that I can insist that any future partner gets the HPV vaccine that was recently released before we start having intercourse. I think the program takes a while to complete though but they should get it anyway.

A news report on a recent study was published today that suggests that 1/4 US women carry HPV. This is all the more reason to get your prospective partners tested, I guess.

25 million women have cancer-tied STD – study

BY JORDAN LITE
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

More than a quarter of U.S. women have a sexually transmitted virus that can cause cervical cancer, according to a new study that stirs the debate over whether to make it mandatory for girls to get shots against the bug.

Nearly 25 million women ages 14 to 59 have human papilloma virus (HPV), government scientists report in today's Journal of the American Medical Association. But just 2% have the most risky strains responsible for 70% of cervical cancers.

Opponents of mandating the vaccine, Merck's Gardasil, took the findings as proof that too little is known about HPV to use the shots widely. Forty-five states, including New York, have enacted or are considering inoculation requirements.

"It reinforces our concerns that we know too little about the epidemiology of this disease in this country. There are just too many outstanding questions to be mandating this vaccine for little girls," said Barbara Loe Fisher, president of the National Vaccine Information Center.

But study author Eileen Dunne of the Centers for Disease Control said the report captured how common HPV is among women at any given point in time - not over the long term, which determines their risk of developing cervical cancer.

In most women, the virus clears on its own within two years. But another CDC survey found that a significant proportion of those in their 20s - some 18% - were infected over extended periods with one of the high-risk strains.

Because that earlier data on cumulative prevalence are "a better reflection of the benefit the vaccine could achieve," the new study does not change a federal panel's recommendation to routinely inoculate 11- and 12-year-old girls against the virus, said its chairwoman, Janet Gilsdorf.

OH GEEZZZZZZZZ , This is madness. It is all about money, nothing and I repeat nothing to do about health and protecting women from cervical cancer. Yes, lets innoculate children 11 and 12 years of age from a sexual transmitted disease. Hey why don't we just start when they are born.....This vaccine DOES NOT protect against Cervical Cancer.
