I've lost a lot of weight over the last four months or so. I fit into a pair of size 30 jeans that used to be to tight for me and I need a belt to keep from falling. Recently I went and weighed myself in the scales and I got a fright that I had lost even more weight. I'm down to 53 kilos.
I was looking through my regimen trying to work out what was causing so much weight loss. First I drastically cut down on DMAE because of issues related to sleeping and shift work. Next I thought that my n-acyel-l-carnitine might be to blame so I cut down on that. I'm wondering if it might actually be the Co-Q10 as I had been taking the previous two supplements for a long time and hadn't had any extreme weight loss but the CoQ10 was much more recent.
I look very healthy though. I've joined up at a gym and at the appraisal the guy shook his head in disbelief that I was 26 let alone that i'm turning 27 next month. Some people have been giving my grief about my weight though. My mother, my cousins ex personal trainer husband... etc..

I've been taking the ubiquinol version of COQ10 (Jarrows 100 mg) and I have noticed that I've been looking a bit more "cut". That's anecdotal, of course; I've read good things about ubiquinol.

No. How much CoQ10/day are you taking? What form (powder, softgel, etc.)?

Wow caston, how tall are you? 53kg sounds underweight. Do you feel OK? Are you getting enough calories?

Yeah I'm not sure but I think i'm about 170cm. I want to keep growing though e.g. likes the trees if possible.
I eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, berries and nuts. I've always had this metabolism.

i really dont think that much of that 50mg is even getting into your blood, let alone enough to make you lose weight.
you could stop taking it, and see if you gain the weight back.. but i doubt it.

I guess the key questions are 1) Do you feel OK? and 2) How much weight have you lost in the last 4 months? I also want to add: 3) Have you seen a doctor about it?Wow caston, how tall are you? 53kg sounds underweight. Do you feel OK? Are you getting enough calories?
