Aeterno Prospects - October 15, 2002
A monthly newsletter to promote the prospect of immortality
For some, death is not a pleasant topic. For others, death holds a strange fascination. For still others, death is a serious and personal subject of exploration. Over the past two and a half years since the birth of Aeterno, my stance on death has not changed much, but I now realize more than ever how important it is to treat death (and the fear of death) with respect, with gentle humor, with a touch of wonder and a hint of mystery, and to write about the will to live forever in a tone of voice more akin to gentle persuasion than subtle defiance.

Aeterno Prospects - November 15, 2002
A monthly newsletter to promote the prospect of immortality
The theme for this issue is the future of immortality as a prospect. Does it have one? And if it does, how will it play out? And will it play out in ways we do not expect? These questions can be addressed either with the short-term in mind (over the next fifty years, for example) or with the long-term in mind (toward what is presumed to be the end of the universe). For my purposes here, I will address these questions and their assumptions from a short-term perspective.
