I just bought a whole bunch of stuff from a forum member that was moving to another country.

I already take MB 1mg, Modafinil 100mg, wellbutrin 150mg, finasteride 1mg, fish oil 4-6g, mellatonin 3mg each day.

the mellatonin I took a few times but it didnt seem to send me to sleep or give me any benefits, should I take this before bed each night? if it does not make me sleep then does it have any benefits?

but now I have...

Olive Leaf Extract
L-Tyrosine
GABA
IP6
Picamilon Base
5-HTP
MSM
Grape Seed
Natural Resveratrol
Melissa Leaves / Lemon Balm
Gotu Kola
Opti-Zinc
D-Aspartic Acid
Creatine
along with lots of other stuff like vitamin c caps etc

What regime would people recommend to incorporate some of these?

My Liver is giving me some pain and I will get on some milk thistle again, taking loads of milk thistle really helped before.

I do smoke heavily and binge drink... It would e best to stop this but yeah I dont think it will happen just yet.
I also have hairloss problems, taking finasteride to treat this.
I have trouble falling asleap if im not working 15 or so hours as well.

Well first, you are eating a hell lot´s of supplement´s. You should investigate which of the supplement´s are livertoxic, if you are lucky some might not pass the liver and you can put them on the safe list.

Then you start investigating what kind of effects the supplements give and build a healthy stack. By this point you should only eat one supplement (liv-52) for a couple of weeks before starting your regimen.

With your supplements you can build three to four alternative regimens to take when needed.

Just keep in mind. You don´t want to fuck your liver up bro, it will kill you!

This is what I am recommending.

For working out;

L-tyrosine
Creatine
MSM
Resveratrol
Zinc
vitamins

For brain health (stress/depression etc;

L-tyrosine
Gaba
5-HTP
Picamilon

The rest is for you to determine if you want to complement your stack or if you wish for some other effect. But you start by building a foundation as I did and then you add up some alternatives, but please avoid eating too much pills, it will kill your liver.

Personally, I avoid GABA because I think it's useless, tyrosine & 5-htp because i think they throw off circadian rhythms, and picamilon because it doesn't help long-term and it may suppress endogenous production of GABA. I only use picamilon for my headaches, which occur approximately 6-10 times per year and which are usually subdued by 150 mg picamilon.

The inositol and gotu kola should help, and the lemon balm should be a viable long-term option, since its active constituents inhibit GABA transaminase but show NO GABA receptor activity. Zinc is controversial IMO, since NMDARs are poorly understood. Aspartate and glutamate are generally discouraged for those who have anxiety. The other herbs, I don't think are directly linked to anxiety...but they probably can't hurt.

Ive heard that grape seed extract can improve liver function in certain people. So that probably might be able to stay. Not sure under what circumstances it improves liver function though.

Maybe someone with knowledge of that might elaborate on it.

In regards to your melatonin issue, i've read that taking more than a couple grams can in fact result in the opposite desirable effect. Considering we naturally emit levels of it at fractions of minute mcgs. i'm currently taking .5mg(500mcg) at night and it seems to help a lot in regards to sleep. I just recently read on a different thread that it apparently has some benefit in countering neuronal cell death as well. I'm gonna research up on that a bit and I can share what I find.

Oh and I know vit C is regarded as relatively harmless, but i've been hearing and reading around lately that we really don't need any more than 250mg. might be something to take into account.

Hi thanks a lot, the grape seed makes sense, it could only be good.

I actually took 30mg of melatonin 2 nights in a row over the weekend along with 2 tabs of gabba and 2 x 5-htp, slept 14hrs the first night but woke up seemingly wide awake about 6hrs into my sleep stumbled around for a bit, logged into my mail and did a few things for about half an hour then went back to sleep. I had really pleasant dreams that I could full remember, I say pleasent as they were not intense or anything exciting they were just long dreams about doing everyday things with my ex gf, I really think that I dreamt for 3 or 4 hours. Second night I slept 10 hours waking 3 times. I usually never wake from my sleep and if I do I can never get back to sleep.

I will start just taking a nibble on a 3mg melatonin tab each night.

Cheers

Vitamin C I always thought that within reason you can not have too much of it. I will just take one 500mg tab.

No offense if I'm just parroting back the obvious to you, but..

Well, if you're easily addicted to things, perhaps it's a clue that you're self-medicating due to low serotonin and/or dopamine levels. That's just the sort of thing that I'd suspect 5-htp and Tyrosine would be helpful for. Perhaps to solve the liver issues you might change your focus to figuring out which drugs/supplements might help get you off alcohol and nicotine. Perhaps it might be useful to check your diet make sure you're getting all the stuff your brain/body needs to balance your neurotransmitter and hormone levels.

I can't nail it down to one thing, but 5-htp seems to have been very useful to me as an appetite suppressant. If you're self-medicating to get serotonin levels up, see if 5-htp reduces the urge to do so. After I started taking it, my cravings for candy dropped to near zero. But I've also updated my diet to one low on fast-acting carbs (bread, fruit, candy, etc) and high on protein, amino acids, and fat (meat and dairy). I'm losing weight without even trying.

This is probably a bit extreme but check out 35 minutes into this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4M1iTalBcBg

It's a good example of how sustance abuse physically screws up your brain. Personally, I'd make fixing that my #1 priority.

And here's a video about brain chemistry & imbalances: http://video.google....500568827175676

Thanks, after I took two tabs of 5-htp and two of gabba, the next day I really smoked very little.

Wellbutrin 150mg can not make me even cut-down smoking.... so I will try a few 5-htps in the morning.

The smoking is my main concern. for a while there i was fine to just smoke an electronic cig but now im still into this 40 per day habit.

Im living in Korea now and cigs are 2 dollars a pac and cheap alcohol is 24/7 available... so this can help....
