From my understanding, Green tea is supposed to speed up metabolism and help lose weight. However, just wondering if anyone ever noticed any weight gain from it ? I have been taking it for about a couple weeks and have noticed a gain of about 5 pounds. It curbs me appetite and helps with energy and moods but I don't understand why I would put on weight if I am eating less.

Because that is all I changed in the last few days. Also, sometimes it makes me slightly dizzy. Is it because it's a stimulant ?

If it's not hot plain, green tea, that might be why. In Chinese medicine, cold food and drinks contribute to obesity, regardless of the calories. Also, check for sweeteners. What form are you taking it in?

Theres a paradox with stimulants; they increase cortisol. Since green tea has a generous amount of caffeine in it, it will increase cortisol levels. It's true that stimulants increase metabolism, but they also increase cortisol.
