Many people believe stem cell therapy has great promise, but will not be available for 15 or 20 years. The reality is that adult stem cell therapy is already utilized in a number of countries and in FDA trials. At Centagen they have a new approach to expand your own stem cells up to a million times without aging. This may greatly increase the success rate as well as improve results for those who have received benefits. This might even be a real beginning at reversing the aging process since it supplies the body with a large number of ones own rejuvenated stem cells to rebuild organs and tissues that have been damaged by aging, injury or disease. What makes this so important is that the therapy could be available much sooner than most people expect.

While embryonic stem cells have attracted most of the investment funding, adult stem cell research can give faster and safer results and does not raise ethical issues. Adult stem cell therapies have the potential to cure many age related conditions and rejuvenate our bodies. These critical technologies have a hard time attracting investment dollars because they will most likely not show short-term profits.

Why are you guys not using conventional funding sources? If your technology is that promising, the money should be there. The trouble with crowdfunding something like this is that the crowd has no way to evaluate the probability of success.

Most companies that go for traditional funding end up losing the vision of the founders and the founders themselves. Look at Geron which was started by Michael West. The company has been going no where for 20 years and West go diluted and left long ago. Another example is Genescient. The main founder was Gregory Benford, Ph.D. who is both a real scientist and famous science fiction writer. He lost control of the company and is no longer much involved with it. I could give many other examples. Crowd funding allows a company to raise money for research and development without diluting equity.
