All. (And more of course. I specially like those wings though. Will they work without an antigrav?)
I like your way to ask the question, by the way.

Immortality is the MEAN to DO (have enough time) and KNOW (awareness, and time for learning) *everything* (the absolute truth [?] + Knowing something- awareness).
I never stopped seeking the symbol which symbolizes EVERYTHING. The Meaning of Life...
I think I will never find, BUT I will NEVER stop looking for it.
[>] I need enough time answering that question. I need 1st- eternity. Now, 2nd I took into account the fact that death means- not even past time. Time never was as anything else!! So for having time + awareness, I must live. And if I die- not even the living part ever was.

Yep, I believe all of us here share the same view. Although I am interested in a particular, powerful reason--a personal one.

4 represents to me, death=oblivion

Yeah, that's what no. 4 meant to me as well. There is no afterlife, therefore Death has no value.
I am alive and wish to remain so.

truthfully im not all that interested in living forever, or even a reallly long time, if life extension presents itself i would probably do it(and i dont even need a young body either, long as my brain works, i know many have the young body as a stipulation.) i just love imminst cause its a huge database of some of the latest scientific advances, and there is lots of intelligent discussion to go around.
MMMMM hug <3 imminst, makes my brain feel good =)

Heartache.
On this attitude of yours, Knite.
And even that is for nothing if you'll die.
And old body is some defect in the brain's function after all, and of course - burden. From all sides.
And spiritualism- err, ugh never mind I am too tired for that now.

I choose number 3.
Because for me that represents increasing intellagance.
And my mind is my most important asset.

I'm not sure images, as such, convey the reason I want "immortality." I just think that in a rational normative society, conscious entities should have the ability and the freedom to exist as long as they want. And I want to live in that kind of world. Assuming that progress can take us there, it makes sense to say that I was born at least a century "too early" for the kind of environment I feel I'm meant to have.

advancedatheist,
Heh lots of young people are sorry for not being born when the technology would have been better.
But think of it- we are now thinking on how to make overcrowd not apply- you might have not being born in the next century...
Weired, most old fellas are glad they had the experience of living in the old days and not regret any moment.
As I have no idea, I just hope immortality will be in my hands. Then there will be time for everything.
As I would like to know all eras...
