I'm attempting a shot at small stakes poker games, mostly online Texas Hold'em tournaments. Been a few years of almost no playing, but I used to win pretty decent money back in 2007-2014 or so (even a few five-figure cashes from tournaments). I'm trying to get into modern poker theory and learn some GTO strategies to update my own game.

What I wonder is what kind of modern nootropics heavy grinders these days use? I would assume stimulants aren't out of question for long sessions, but I'd probably go with something like modafinil instead of adderall which I've heard make some players overly cocky and think they can play any hand and bluff people excessively. Perhaps good old caffeine-theanine is pretty good option. What I really feel would benefit me would be substances that enhance objectivity, creativity, mental energy and hard rational thinking. Micro-dosing psychedelics is pretty popular now, I would guess some poker players do them? Any success with classic nootropics like Ginkgo, racetams, cholinergics?

Any other poker players / fans here? Would be nice to exchange ideas or so.

Hey my friend, I only know one Pro pokerplayer that uses Madmonq nootropics. He uses it live on stream but afaik he's the only one that promotes this.

(note I follow him on Twitch, his grinds are on tournaments, sometimes 12 hourely in a row up 6-8 tables when he's lucky.)

The link attachment does not work but here's the link: https://www.madmonq.gg/about-us/

Hey man, nice to hear from you!

Yeah I think it's Lex Veldhuis that takes MadMonQ, pretty cool guy.

Seems pretty well formulated product, might try it.

It seems NLHE cash games and small tournaments are the most profitable for me, need to get into grinding more.

Made this pretty simple NLHE starting hand chart based on the playability of the combos, feel free to have it as a cheat sheet  :-D

Bro, I don't cheat, at least on Pokerstars I don't. Here in the Netherlands GGPoker is allowed.

(Pokerstars is in a shit stornm right now, they have to payback everyone that was not legal subscibed to them before 2024. I'm one of them :D

Damn, didn't know that, I do like the layout and tournament selection on PokerStars but the games are tougher than on smaller sites.

Have you looked into any poker strategy books or video courses or anything? I ordered a book called "Mastering small stakes Pot Limit Omaha", I kinda like PLO more as a cash game as it's more action-rich

Nah I pretty much will buy them and don't follow the instructions given haha

I'm better at Omaha than Texas but like Texas more.
