What do you think of this site and its conclusions?
http://www.multivitaminguide.org/

I must say that Xtend Life's Total Balance looks damn good to me.
As do their other products.

Is this the replacement for Vimmortal everyone is looking for?

Not for me. It's another kitchen-sink formulation with a bunch of stuff I don't want to take. The vitamin E is only d-alpha tocopherol. Plus it's 52 bucks a month.

That doesn't look too bad at all and $40 less. Would be nice if it had more iodine though.

There's a metric ton of herbs in there that have no business whatsoever in any sane multi. I'll stick with AOR Multi Basics 3 (plus additional D3, Mg and K2)

Take into consideration that the herbs in there are in minute amounts. There aren't any forms of oxide in there and it's not too overdosed like so many others are. You won't find much better at that price.

$52 is for only a 15-day supply.

I am not that concerned with price (although 52USD for 15 days IS too much). Anyhow, Multi Basics 3 at 2 pills per day is like 13 USD per month, which is pretty decent plus there are other Supps I spend significantly more on than my Multi, anyhow.

Actually, niner was probably referring to the Men's Xtend basic formula, which is $52.00 for a month's supply. I was looking at the Men's Premium formulation, which is 51.50 for a 15-day supply. It is fairly comprehensive, but many of the more exotic ingredients are present in very modest amounts. Most folks interested in those ingredients would probably still want to take them separately to get an effective dose.

I am not sure if a decent multi even exists. For women, they may be better off looking at children's multis, if they are okay with a small amount of iron (as most seem to have it). For men... everything has flaws. I think people are better off just using chronometer and supplementing what they are deficient in (or changing diet). And this may be blasphemy, but I think if you plan to take a multi, most people would be better off just buying a centrum or one-a-day, breaking the tablet in half, and taking that every other day or something. Too many multis are megadosed, or contain 'extras' that are sketchy. Even the 'good' ones like MultiBasics aren't ideal -- choline may not be safe (theoretical CVD risk), some of the Bs are a bit too high, etc.

Yeah, I was thinking that nameless wouldn't approve of any of these formulations... :)

Thorne Research and Pure Encapsulation and Douglas Ultra Preventative X (i like this one best) are good MV and they are a little pricey. I look for methylcobalmin, the 5-MTHF and then Magnesium

Multi Vitamin+ Energy Champion looks really good but probably uses cyanocobalmin instead of methylcobalamin like orange triad/ Life Extension/Orthocore/ anavite (high rated more expensive stuff).

Not sure how important that is

Hi #1stunna,

Thank you for your analysis. How can we be sure it is the case? Is it because of the price of the product? How bad is the use of cyanocobalmin over methylcobalamin ?

Despite of this, would you still recommend this multivitamin?

Thanks again
