Just read a bit about this. Supposedly it can help with depression and anxiety, among other things. Has anyone tried this and had any results good or bad with it?
Thx,
D

Aside from me, I've suggested it to a few people. The dropper bottle is a little difficult to get the right dose. You have to use tiny drops or your over dosing. It's a clotting factor, so you should probably keep a few aspirins in your pocket just in case it gives you problems. That's why I switched to using the the body spray (blood pressure was getting too high on the drops).
If you've been depressed for a long time or have deep problems, get ready for an adjustment if you use the drops regularly. It could be painful to see how far away you've been from where you should be.

Hey cryonics do you still take it? From which website did you acquire this substance? It sounds very promising for those looking to become more social. This article seems to indicate that it might decrease avoidance behaviours. Do you still find it beneficial?
From another interesting article - 'Feldman’s work showed that how a 3-year-old child interacts with their best friend is determined in part by how their oxytocin system functions and in part by how their parents, particularly their mother, interacted with them. When playing with their best friend, children with higher levels of oxytocin and whose parents engaged in more parenting behaviors were more communicative and collaborative, two traits that help increase closeness and cement bonds.' and 'The child’s physiology also influenced how they behaved. Children with higher levels of oxytocin showed greater social reciprocity with their best friend.'
Aaaaand the last link, 10 pretty awesome effects of Oxytocin. Why in the world is this not more widely taken? Seems to me that it could be an excellent remedy for the widespread alienation of individuals from each other and the strengthening of social bonds.
I'd make sure to read this:

I don't still use it, at least not often. I don't like the idea of long term use of things like this. You can take it, learn what you've been missing and see the world around you become more clear, but once you can grow without it, I wouldn't rely on it. Not enough is known currently.
I'd like to know how they measured the OF in children's brains though. That's kinda scary... The things I mention about assumptions in the topic I linked you to are very important when taking OF, I had assumptions I didn't even realize were assumptions and they sort of peeled off in layers and sometimes a thick layer would peel off and it would hurt alot. Eventually things normalize and your own levels should adjust as you learn to think beyond faulty assumptions. My advice would be to drop all assumptions, but this is hard if you don't know what your assumptions even are, so as a tool for learning, start by making a new assumption "You are stupid and everything you've ever done you did in ignorance," just start over, it will take less time than you think to make a considerable change to your life.
There are also foreign pharmacies that sell the stuff.
The body spray is a very gentle experience and you have receptors in your nose for OF/OA, so keep it clean. The drops and nasal spray are a bit more dramatic at times and the drops are hard to get the dose right on sometimes as it comes down to pressure on the rubber cap by your fingers. The right dosage is the best, too much and you won't feel anything or will just get headaches. Keep some aspirin on hand as it can be a clotting factor.
After doing some research oxytocinfactor actually does provide about half what is being used in studies, the studies seem to indicate intranasal oxytocin has extremely specific effects on social cognition involving speech performance and stress response to certain facial expressions. I guess i should have given it a more thorough trial using it in social situations, i figured it would just relax me a bit even if i was just at home but maybe it only works for subtle social cues you might not even notice unless you really thoroughly exerimented with it. plus i think i was dosing far too high, possibly why i felt a sort of comedown effect. I think i will order some more oxycalm from IAS as the oxytocinfactor guys don't ship to canada.
How did they provide the dose? Was it a dropper or nasal spray? Did you swirl the bottle to mix it?
