Many of the nootropics and stacks discussed here have stimulating or stimulant-like effects that people often seem to develop tolerance to. I am referring in particular to caffeine, modafinil and the CILTEP stack.

Caffeine, for instance, makes me very alert and productive for the first week or so that I use it, but the effects quickly diminish with chronic use. Also, the subjectively strong effects from the CILTEP stack seemed to diminish over days and resulted in very marked fatigue after a week or so. Reading through the forum, it seems that these experiences are very common.

So, does anyone have any experience or ideas on how this tolerance can be prevented and/or reversed? Recommendations on how to cycle would also be appreciated..

DLPA reduces caffiene tolerance in my experiences and others. Some people actually use DLPA to quit caffiene and claim it elimates most of the withdrawals. I do recall getting a serious case of the caffiene jitters after dosing 1000mg DLPA and drinking a 16 oz Monster drink that normally I could barely feel.

That sounds promising.. I did a quick search and it appeared that some people experienced brain fog as a side effect from DLPA: http://www.longecity...d-side-effects/ http://www.longecity...action-to-dlpa/..

I've never experienced brain fog from DLPA. DLPA too me on its own is pretty subtle unless mega dosing. Even when combined with Deprenyl I found it hard to feel effects. But combined with caffiene, adderall it most definitely potentiated it.

I see.. It is pretty affordable too, so I think I will give it a try. Thanks!
