Hello.

I have dark circles under my eyes and i have read that vitamin K2 should help that.

What dosage do you recomend for this purpose? is 85 mcg/day enough?

Where did you read it? Did they give any rationale for why it should work? Any evidence or use reports?

I'd say a "standard" dose of 50 ug daily should work, 85 ug/d is fine too. If not for the discoloration, then general health, there are a few studies on K2 specifically saying > 40 ug daily.

Dark under eyes generally means your bloods dirty, liver and kidneys cant keep up with the toxins your feeding yourself. Stop eating sugar, smoking, drink lots rain water, etc. I find herbal supplement triphala great for dark eyes.

Did you just say drink Rain Water ??

Hell no LOL!!! ..
Maybe back in 1000 BC, not in 2013,
Why would you want to drink Rain water LOL ?

Dark Circles under eyes, is something that ive never worked out how to get rid of.

I might try Triphala, even if it doesnt work it has other benefits, so its worth a shot.

Start drinking rain water or stop drinking rain water? I'm confused.
I also dont think that the "your blood is dirty" hypothesis really holds up.

Anyways I have dark circles under the eyes and assumed its about 80% genetic and you cant do much about it.
Would be cool if I could get rid of this somehow.

Ashwagandha seemed to sometimes make them less.

Amount of sleep is a factor. I used to have somewhat dark marks under my eyes for 15 years but when I started making sleep a priority (instead of a necessity to be squeezed into as short as possible) this problem largely went away.

"dirty blood" does hold up. just couldnt be bothered elaborating at the time.
an example is.. getting stoned(introducing a toxin) , then eating a buch of watercress (activating phase 1 and 2 detoxification) , then eating 4 slices of vegemite and toast (crippling the kidney phase 3 detox with salt) == an almighty headache 1-2 hours later. because the kidney couldnt keep up.

Triphala is good and works for some.. reasons being. contains quercetin from the gooseberry 1/3 wich is a natural histamine inhibitor
and the haritaki 1/3 is one of the only single substances in the world that activate all 3 phases of detoxification.

what i mean by rain water is.. well you can drink chlorine and aluminuim out of a tap if you want.. but its poisonous !

extra supplementation with Quercetin or Diamine Oxidase may be of help if you have a habbit of eating high histamine foods.(processed meat, pizza, takeway etc)
