If I had to choose one single exercise and no other it would almost certainly be olympic lifing variations. Clean and jerk from the hang to avoid potential connective tissue damage while maximizing strength, balance, power production, as well as reducing resting heart rate and blood pressure. There are indeed few others that can even come close to the benefits provided by olympic lifting. Hatha yoga, and classical ballet training would come in second and third respectively.
Best form of exercise?

There isn't one.
You need to cross-train.
For pure cardio, I'd probably say swimming since there's no joint impact.
For strength, weight training.
For flexibility, yoga, contortionism, specific active stretching or sports stretching programs.
For co-ordination and balance, martial arts, tai chi, balance board training, yoga or dance.
Self defense: mixed martial arts.
For mental effects: sex.
