Recently it seems like a lot of text is rendering as a question mark instead of whatever ASCII character it's supposed to be. I've see it a lot with single quotes, but also several symbols that I suppose are multi-byte UTF-8 codes or some such thing. I've seen a lot of the improperly rendered quotes just in the past few days. I think this is usually pasted text. Anyone know what's going on? Quotes are part of the original one byte ASCII code set, so we've had half a century to get this sorted out. It's hard to believe that something so basic is still a problem in the modern world. I guess I'm missing something...
