Hello,

Has anyone ever experienced anything like the following?

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I have recently tried out Creatine Monohydrate and found that I become increasingly ADHD and depressed beyond the norm that I am already diagnosed by far. In order to verify this I spent 2 weeks eating 1-2 serving of meat/fish instead of 6 and replacing the protein with nuts, peanut butter, and yogurt. I ended becoming vitamin b12 deficient and found that I was unable to remain off meat.

However something intriguing happened, I felt less self critical and more happy about myself.

The bottom line is I think I have dietary allergy to creatine monohydrate. I find this strange as most people benefit from it. Let me know your guys thoughts and if theres anything I should look into in your opinion.

Thanks,

-Zach

Logically I would think it would be impossible to be allergic to creatine and to have survived this long. creatine is used a lot in your body, particularly in energy synthesis. Also meat has a lot of creatine, so if you are actually allergic to creatine you would need to be a vegetarian.

E.G. it would be like being allergic to vitamin C. It just doesn't really make sense.

Well have you ever heard of Phenylketonurics? They are allergic to what is known as phenylalanine and its an essential amino acid....It's a genetic disorder.

I actually suffer from Bipolar and ADHD quite severely so yeah...it's possible I have a strange genetic disorder in my own humble opinion. I just went vegetarian two days ago...so we shall see. :)

Anyways, thanks for the thought.

I guess it's possible, but i can't imagine it's that likely.

I would imagine that if you were allergic to creatine, you would have serious cardio problems, low muscle mass, limited brain development, low energy, etc. Maybe you're just allergic to one of the other compounds in the creatine solution, like magnesium sterate?

IF ONLY.....I didn't take quite a bit of dietary supplements with that in it. I order bulk powders all the time. Did I mention I make my own capsules in general?  :-D
