i'm seeking answer as to why different brand coffee have a different mood/cognitive effect. encompassing the topic to both instant and brew.
anyone have similar experience, i welcome your feedback.
to people that claim all brands have the same effect, i feel you won't have much to offer this thread.
years back i used to drink folgers instant and really had a consistent powerful cognitive effect so i never had reason to deviate cuz it had reliability.
i had to quit folgers instant later cuz somehow the brand became bad with the coffee started to taste of bad chemical(pesticide like), dunno what wrong.
i have one or two different brew brands from whole food(forgot the name at the moment) and they both left this unpleasant feel(more like unstable mental unpleasantness) ,dunno what wrong with them, and other brew brands also had similar problem.
then somehow i stumbled across this brew brand called cafe de monde, and it was better than all the other brew brands i perviosuly tried. it actually produces enough stable mentality(enough headache and euphoria), still pale compared to folgers instant when it was good.
so i suspect that the different brew brands have different formulas(different blends) but i have yet to identify what that is. i picked up a link lead on this site that suggested different roast level have difference in chemical makeup(light roast and dark roast) and i tested thaat idea but the result were really favorable. i mixed 50% light roast and dark roast and the result was lesser than cafe du monde's.
so it comes back to the big question, how are they different? how are the blend formulas different?
it would be good to know the exact formula so one won't have to rely on brands and make your own blend . one problem with reliance is if they brand goes bad you are screwed.
anyone been down the same road and have found some good answers ?
might have to consider quitting with gradual withdrawal if all ways fail.....
