Yep, I believe I read the research article behind that a week or so ago.  It's a fairly big deal, although I note that telomere extension by itself is just a part of the package we will need to truly revitalize bodies.  A pretty important part nonetheless however.  I will be tracking developments on this.

Mario Blasco is a very talented researcher indeed and the CNIO does remarkable things to do with Telomeres. I hear a rumour she is working on bringing Telomerase therapy to humans possibly in conjunction with Dr Fossel which is very exciting news indeed. Telomeres play a key role in aging through their regulation of gene expression (Wright and Shay TPE) so I am confident using it in humans will yield significant results. Gene therapy can already deliver this to the body its time we take the chance.
