This is a novel and perhaps totally successful antiinfective approach, if the claims are to be believed, although the article is weak on details and PubMed doesn't seem to have the paper yet.
But if it is real, then judging from what (has not) happened with Sangamo Bioscience's quite successful receptor reengineering approach of several years ago, this is all destined for demise courtesy of the Medical Politburo, while millions more die of HIV.
