I had a congested nose which I know nicotinic acid works against, so I put some of the powder in my nostrils.

You may laugh but this does actually work effectively against snot congestion.

But now I feel a bit "sedated," calm and relaxed. I wonder, could it be the niacin? I haven't taken anything else.

Niacin calms me down...I use it orally pre-bed and it helps me sleep deeper.

Did it burn your sinuses? Might be able to make a solution.

No burn, just a very short-lived irritation, like running tap water into the nose.

:)
Niacin and ribose produce NAD+ best IMHO
B2/Riboflavin may be a good source of Ribose without Glycation issues.
It may be a good adjunct to this ...unconventional research.

I find this intriguing, though a nasal spray would probably be more appropriate for delivery.

niacin is the most overrated garbage in the world. ive tried all types of niacin, every single type and brand out there past few years including the infamous nicotinamide riboside and all of them did ZERO for anything in the body. from my toes to my hair, zero effect. intranasal, anal, oral, IV, do it all ways you like, this crap is overrated and does not work!!!

You say you've tried all brands, but have you experienced the niacin flush?
