Every day I wake up and slowly start to get "wired". No physical symptoms of anxiety, just scattered mind with lots of random thoughts (not what ifs) that makes it impossible to concentrate on the external world. I feel exhausted and mentally stimulated at the same time.

Those feelings usually start to diminish around 6 pm and st 8-9 I usually feel more present and feel 60% better. Every day I take melatonin for sleep (usually at 11pm) and after 20-30 minutes of taking 0.3-1mg of melatonin I start to feel 95% normal. Even if more wired and racy than usual melatonin almost always does the trick.

I tried SSRI (lexapro) for a year which made me probably more calm but numbed me A LOT and gave me DP, probably the dosage was too high. Even on meds my state was highly dependent on the circadian rhythm like before. After weaning off, I tried lots of supplement available for anxiety to no avail, but melatonin affects me the most (more than benzo). Magnesium and glycine also have some effect, but not as profound as melatonin.

If you can relate or have any ideas on what's probably going on, any info will be highly appreciated!

Hmm have you tried any of the meds that work (partially) through melatonin receptors such as Agomelatine or Afobazole?
