The longer I read about the more I get convinced that my issues (anhedonia, social anxiety, obsessive thinking, potentially also ADD-PI or low end of the autism spectrum - this I will test over the next few months) stem from lack of dopamine (or insufficient dopamine sensitivity).

Now, past tries with getting dopamine agonists from my shrink were sadly unsuccessful but still I am thinking about how a sustainable ((costs are of very low concern, I am mainly interesting in limiting the downsides and then eventually I will have to come up with a way of getting the prescriptions) dopaminergic stack would look like:
* MPH or Amphetamine as strong dopamine agonists
* Memantine to help reduce/eliminate tolerance
So far so good, some good experiences with this combo around the net (usually with Amphetamine rather than MPH but the latter would arguably be easier to get). Now there is still the question of dopamine induced neurotoxicity which seems to be driven mainly by dopamine metabolites so could you potentially use a MAOI (specifically thinking about Selegiline) to both reduce the amount of dopamine that gets broken down and also potentially how much dopamine agonists you need?

Combining an MAOI with a phenylethylamine such as amphetamine is a really really bad idea. You would be inhibiting the metabolism of amphetamine which would continue to agonize MAO receptors and squeeze all sorts of dopamine and serotonin out of your brain at a much more dramatic rate leading to Serotonin Syndrome which can cause death.

We've had some very interesting results by inhibiting PDE4 (Artichoke extract or Quercetin) + increasing cAMP (Forskolin) + a stimulant or dopamine precursor (caffeine or l-tyrosine) over in the CILTEP thread.

Definitely something to check out, though it takes a bit of experimenting with the doses. Since you are coming from a social anxiety background, I recommend starting on the low dose range for sure. Also, instead of taking a bunch of caffeine, you may want to experiment with something like l-theanine + a low dose of caffeine or l-tyrosine.

For me, it's been a solid 2 months now, and I've not developed any weird side effects (except when I play around with the doses) or tolerance. I'm still trying to find a nice replacement for amphetamines, but this stack has allowed me to drop from 60mg a day of Adderall to only 5mg.
