Hi

Im writing in rush so sorry for any mistakes in writing. I was using noopept for a 8 months with breakes. It helped me much with memory, especially long term memory. It has improved my verbal fluency and language skills. But now after about month since last dose, i have problems with logical thinking- my language learning skills are still good, also learning subjects like history, civics is easy for me but i have a big problems with mathematics. I cant focus on math problems, my short term memory is bit worse and that ended in some bad marks in school....To fix this i used lecithine, ginkgo biloba and caffeine but that didint help much. How can i bring  fast my math skills and quality of my short term memory? I think its connected to the BDNF level.

Regards

Bdnf is relative easy: Sport or exercise increase VEGF and BDNF production

Here are some herbs:

Why do You think that BDNF is the cause ?

I have read on some forum that this "brainfog" is caused by noopept that decreased the BDNF level but idk if its 100% true. I gonna check your links

This question actually gets asked a lot about smart drugs...

Noopept I believe at this point only has one or two human studies done on it, we really don't know enough about it to say if it's a long term positive or negative. I say switch to a more proven Nootropic.

Could be excitotoxicity.

I really dont want to cause panic or suggesting something. I´m just a amateur.

https://en.wikipedia.../Excitotoxicity

Anyway it could be also just a dysregulation of --dont know.. second messenger like g proteins, ion channels other signal pathways.

the Brain is afaik somewhat robust in the case of damage, so it could be just the synapses which will regrowth in a time ranging from few weeks to afaik 1 year.

Again, no panic. Nobody knows because its sometimes hard to tell subjectively the diference of a damage and dysregulation.

I needed 1 year for my certain kind of depression, to know thats not a damage.

Sigh, If Youre still panicking or are depressed, here are some interresting links about brain repair (GSK-3beta..): hope, so to say

but better talk with a doctor about e.g. those studies because of any possible interactions & what not:

Noopept is neuroprotective and is a prescribed drug in Russia, how can it be excitotoxic? I have bought it from very good source. Also i haven't used any stimulants or other nootropics simultaneously with noopept, only lecithine. Im health young male and im not saying that this impairment is huge, i dont feel retarded but i feel slight logical thinking and short term memory impairment(which is rather common side effect of noopept). It should pass with time but do anyone knows some nootropic for short term memory so it would bring my short term memory to normal or higher level? As i said i have used lecithine but it didnt help much.

I think that it cant be dangerous as its being used in for example Russia as a prescribed drug. Sunifiram is possibly much more dangerous. And i dont take noopept anymore- it passed like month or two since last time i took it and in very little dose like 10mg.

Heres a list of threads to ask people on reddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/drugnerds

/r/nootropics

/r/depressionregimes

of course https://www.reddit.com/r/AskDocs/

and perhaps

/r/psychopharmacology

/r/neuropsychology

/r/neuro

https://www.reddit.com/r/Psychiatry/

Subreddits like the last 4 dont allow to ask any personal advice but You could try to ask something "in general".

It couldnt matter if Your request is obvious, I would say it depends rather on the responder.

Something knowone has mentioned is diet, are you monitoring your nutrient intake?

I've been taking noopept for 3 months, on a break from it now. Helped a lot with anxiety issues and memory. Brain fog was an issue, until...starting Mr happy stack but taking ump sublingual (no decernable effect prior to oral ump) and using alcar for the choline source.

A lot to do with nootropics in my experience revolves around much trial and error and time, finding something that works consistantly is a pain! Good luck.
