Hello! Long time no talk.

I experimented with Deprenyl/Selegiline many years ago but discontinued use due to being costly and sometimes effects dragging on for too long.

My main goals was for stimulation and mood enhancer which it did deliver to some extent. The life extension features of the product were also very interesting.

I had then switched to the cheaper and more accessible natural supplement Shou Wu Pian/He Shou Wu/Fo-Ti.
These supplements seem very potent and produce a somewhat different effect than the commercial product.

Selegiline feels cleaner obviously but the Fo-Ti seems to be better for life extension.

The problem is that I cannot continue these because of hypersensitivity to it at this point.
I take a very small dose (a fraction of the recommended) and get very tired at first (normal effect) then the stimulation is clearly there the next day.

However, if I use it for too long I do get impatient and very irritable I have to discontinue.
What would this hypersensitivity linked to? Is the MAOI-B too strong or is my brain got too much or not enough Dopamine?

I have recently ditched caffeine because it stressed me out too much.
Perhaps I should try it again without the caffeine.

I wish I understood this product better because the virtues seems very worth while.

Thanks

I can't see the connection here b/w: Monoamine oxidase inhibitor (Selegeline) and Ya-hoo-kung-fu.  I suspect the issue with Ya hoo Wu shu (sorry I am old I mix things up) could be:

a) product impurities in Ya hoo kung fu he shou wu, as it has a "cooking" process that I do not like.

b) MAOs are unpredictable too, best is to use lowest possible dose.  If you like herbs, Gingko Biloba is a better choice, usually they have a standardized process and is milder.

c) Combing these 2 will always give you trouble, and you'll constantly be chasing who let the cat out.  I will suggest Resveratrol with Gingko Biloba my favorite combo every other day.

What is the evidence base behind Fo-Ti? I've heard it's MAOB-inhibitor and has longevity claims like reversing grey hair. There's no Examine page for it so I guess it's time to search Google Scholar or Pubmed? I think I actually took Fo-Ti forever ago, like back in 2012. But I can't remember if it did anything except had some laxative effect from the Emodin content I assume.
