I'm currently taking Suntheanine (L-theanine) and I'm a bit confused on how to take it. I've read different sources some say take it with a meal, others say take it on an empty stomach? I currently take it on an empty stomach and its effective but I'd prefer to take it with food if thats possible.

As a general rule amino acids are best taken without food, at least an hour before eating or at least 1.5-2 hours after your last meal. I bet the theanine would still 'work' if you take it with food, but its effects will be significantly delayed and perhaps even dampened depending on what you ate and how much. I've always taken it without food, it's never bothered my stomach but I imagine some people migh have tummy trouble with taking stuff on empty stomachs.
