Whats the difference from getting vitamins in vegtables than getting the same in other foods? It doesn't make sense.
Can someone at least explain it to me.

Essentially there is no difference, but for instance it is not easy to acquire vitamin K and folic acid from other sources than green vegetables
also veggies contain a lot of good fiber and other bioactive compounds

Vegetables contain phyto-nutrients/anti-oxidant that other foods do not have - and in generous quantities and numerous varieties. While the USDA may not have created a daily amount for phytonutrients/anti-oxidants, like they have for vitamins and minerals, they seem to be important for longevity.
