So I am trying to do 18 hour fasts daily. The problem is in order to do so, I must eat only upon waking, or only at night before bed. The problem with this is in order to get restful sleep I must take supplemental magnesium to relax and control my nighttime bruxism, and also take a calorie source (gelatin for better sleep). This would be fine. But on top of this, in the morning I like to take astaxanthin, green tea, lutein, and polypodium leucotomos for sun protection. I know that even without calorie intake, supplement intake may hurt the benefots of fasting. Any suggestions?
