I've been studying up on iodine and how our iodine consumption has dropped by half in the last forty years. The lab ranges for iodine I've seen are around 40-92 mcg/L. Ranges reflect a 95% range for any given sample that reflects a population.
Simple question: if there has been such a dramatic 50% drop in iodine (or any variable) intake, wouldn't this make contemporary blood ranges (for iodine or any variable) pretty much useless?
