Mesoglycan also known as aortic acid has apparently been studied in humans in multiple studies and has shown favorable effects for cardiovascular disease and venous disease like varicose veins. It is derived from animals, the one that works and is sold comes from pigs.

See the video below:

See here for the studies of it. Lots of human studies: https://www.ncbi.nlm...term=Mesoglycan

It also is apparently effective for atherosclerosis!

Has anyone heard of this supplement before?

All I can tell you is that the other name for it is: Glycosaminoglycans And it is sold by a coupla brands (check google). One of the products gives details::

Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are a mixture of highly purified complex carbohydrates such as dermatan sulfate, heparan sulfate, hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate, and related hexosaminoglycans. In the human body, GAGs are key connective tissue components necessary for maintaining the health and integrity of blood vessels.*
